Embeddings and time evolution of the Schwarzschild wormhole

چکیده
We show how to embed spacelike slices of the Schwarzschild wormhole (or Einstein-Rosen bridge) in R 3. Graphical images of embeddings are given, including depictions of the dynamics of this nontraversable wormhole at constant Kruskal times up to, and beyond, the " pinching off " at Kruskal times ±1.

The space-time wormhole and time direction of travelling light
The investigation of Scharzschild solution using new one transform leads to the spherical solution of light path. Spherical solution forms space-time wormhole with finite throat. It was shown that wormhole throat diameter could by manipulated by changing value of Schwarzschild radius. Using symmetric formulation of Maxwell’s equations one can obtain the physical time negative solution. Detailed...

Suppose, the Universe comes into existence (as classical spacetime) already with an empty spherically symmetric macroscopic wormhole present in it. Classically the wormhole would evolve into a part of the Schwarzschild space and thus would not allow any signal to traverse it. I consider semiclassical corrections to that picture and build a model of an evaporating wormhole. The model is based on...

متن کاملHow to make a traversable wormhole from a Schwarzschild black hole
Introduction. The recently discovered acceleration of the universe [1, 2] indicates that its large-scale evolution is dominated by unknown dark energy which violates at least the strong energy condition, and perhaps also the weak energy condition, where it is known as phantom energy [3]. Such phantom energy is precisely what is needed to support traversable wormholes [4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9]. This Le...
متن کاملVacuum Energy Estimates in Quantum Gravity and the Wheeler-DeWitt Equation
In the Wheeler-DeWitt framework, by a gauge fixing procedure, we set up a scheme to recover a Schrödinger type equation, living in the orbits space with the lapse function as evolution parameter. By means of the associated stationary equation, we have the possibility of calculating quantum corrections to classical quantities. The Schwarzschild wormhole case is discussed as an example of applica...
